A huge well done to all of our students who represented the school so proudly on Day 1 of the South Leinster Schools Athletics Championship. We had five relay teams competing in what proved to be a very high standard and competitive event, and each team gave an excellent account of themselves.
A special congratulations goes to our Senior 4x400m relay team of Cillian Daly, Killian Redmond, Rian Delaney and Oisin Henderson, who delivered a fantastic performance to claim silver medals and secure qualification for the Leinster Schools Championship in the coming weeks.
There were also brilliant displays from our Senior 5k runners and race walkers. In particular, a huge congratulations to Evan Walsh (5th Year), who took gold in the Senior 3k walk and has also qualified for the Leinster Championship.
Well done to all involved for their effort, determination and school spirit. We now look forward with great excitement to the individual track and field championships in the coming week.
